Dammusi 2 Gatti are located in the middle of nature, in the National Park of Pantelleria, in total peace. They are true antique dammusi, recently renovated with fine finishes, with all the features of dammusi, including Pantelleria gardens, threshing floor and dry stone walls. The structure consists of 2 cores separated by 100 meters of olive trees, cultivated fields and prickly pear trees. Each group has its own pool, shaded space, and sundeck, as well as the “Pantesco Garden.”

In front of the dammusi the land is cultivated by the owners, this allows guests to taste the island’s freshly harvested and totally natural products. All around is the typical Mediterranean scrub of Pantelleria Park.

Excellently located, just minutes from the natural Turkish bath, Scauri district and the magnificent Lake Mirror of Venus. An excellent restaurant is about 1 km away, others can be found in the different districts, while a grocery store is within walking distance, and the town is 7 km away.

Typical island constructions, Pantelleria’s dammusi are the result of Arab civilization and the work of Pantelleria’s many farmers. The dammuso was born as a rural element and takes into account the peculiarities of this island: the wind, the heat, the scarcity of rainfall and the richness of lava material.

All the elements that characterize these constructions have a specific function. Domed roofs serve to channel rainwater into cisterns; thick walls, up to six feet thick, provide insulation against heat in summer and cold in winter; as do the small size of windows and doors.
